Field Stone Winery Petite Sirah 2007

Bold dry and very intense Petite Sirah from one of the best producers in California. An intense wine, this is an optimum vintage as a few new vines came on line in 2001. They provided a little smoothness and fruit to these gnarly monsters.  But this is a 2x4 with a nail in it wine.  Inky black, the Petite Sirah was planted over 120 years ago.  Not for faint of heart, this is that so big wine that you can't easily compare with 'normal' bottles. 400 cases produced and very hard to find.
