Part of a SF Bay Area farming family, Arnold Tidal ‘retired’ to Napa in 1977, bought 10 acres as one did back then, and planted Cabernet Sauvignon, as so advised by Louis P. Martini. A classic ‘old time’, family run Napa winery “back in the day”. We snuck just a few cases of this consistently amazing vintage away - as the Tudal focus on ‘old style’ wine provided long term structure.

Tasted 2022: This is a very 'Bordeaux' style Napa Cabernet. After 25 years since harvest, the wine is still bright and fresh - the tannins are smooth in the mid palate. The care and attention to structure is evident. Such an ageable wine- wow. $89 members.
