The closest that CA has come to producing an Italian Brunello. Brunello loosely translates as "nice, dark one" and is the unofficial name of Sangiovese Grosso grapes. As is the Italian tradition, these wines are aged for three or more years before being released. A great food wine especially with tomato-based pasta (big surprise!) as well as your favorite meat dishes.
